I’M PROUD TO ANNOUNCE MY FIRST SOLO ALBUM BAMBÚ (2025)

Searching my soul throughout my artistic life, it took me many decades working as a professional freelance musician, learning from other players, styles and cultures to finally condense all my experiences into what I would call my own musical style and identity.

Having had the opportunity to work with many amazing musicians like Trilok Gurtu, Tony Braxton, Simon Phillips, Omar Sosa, João Bosco, Oumou Sangare and many more, it broadened my artistic horizon over the years to the point, that it helped me to find my own musical common ground: FUSION (in the very sense of the word !)

Drawing form styles like Jazz, Funk, R&B, Soul, Latin, World and more, I finally got to write, produce and record my own music with the intention to share my creative side with the world.

I’m kicking off this new chapter of my musical journey with my first solo album – BAMBÚ – it contains 10 original tracks presenting a colourful mix of all those influences and ingredients mentioned above.

With my newly formed quartet ROLAND CABEZAS & BAND I will be playing shows nationally and internationally starting this year (2025).
