After decades as a professional freelance musician—learning from diverse cultures and collaborating with icons like Trilok Gurtu, Toni Braxton, and Simon Phillips—I have finally condensed my experiences into a singular musical identity.
My journey has led me to a ‘common ground’ that I define as FUSION in its truest sense.
Drawing from Jazz, Funk, R&B, and World music, I am proud to finally share my debut creative vision with the world.
The Story Behind the Cover
The artwork features a Kalimba made of bamboo, an instrument I played on the title track. To me, it represents the ancient roots of music that connect us all. Seeing it adrift on the vast, open water symbolizes the long and often lonesome journeys we musicians must take to master our craft and find our true inspiration.
